Organizations must transform how they frame their value propositions, moving from narrow descriptions of products or services toward accounts of how their work contributes to stronger communities, healthier ecosystems, and trustworthy institutions. A modern value proposition captures not only what an initiative delivers, but the futures it enables and the stakeholders it brings into alignment. The System Value Proposition (SVP) provides this broader frame by connecting long-term destinations with the actions and infrastructures needed for delivery. It integrates economic, social, ecological, and institutional dimensions of value and relies on co-creation to balance them in practice. Through this approach, value propositions become evolving agreements that link aspirations to implementation and ensure benefits are distributed transparently and sustainably. This learning unit introduces the SVP concept and its application in public and urban contexts. Learners use tools such as the SVP Canvas to map value dimensions, engage stakeholders, and craft systemic narratives that guide adaptive, sustainable initiatives.
